Performance Evidence

The candidate must be assessed on their ability to integrate and apply the performance requirements of this unit in a workplace setting. Performance must be demonstrated consistently over time and in a suitable range of contexts.

The candidate must provide evidence that they can:

plan for collection of samples and moving equipment to the site

collect and preserve samples for a given site

record sampling results and observations on data sheets

carry out sampling procedures

distinguish atypical circumstances

prepare samples

package samples for transport to laboratory

use and operate relevant tools and equipment

use industry standard terminology.
